Gingerbread

A gingerbread house modeled after Blood Elf architecture from World of Warcraft. This was submitted to the cookie contest from 2006 but didn't win. Since it's not immediately recognizable as fanart (and honestly not immediately recognizable, looks more like a mosque), I decided that Food Art would be a more appropriate gallery.

Aside from the baking sheet, aluminum foil, and candle inside, everything is edible, even the domed roof which was baked inside a metal mixing bowl. That doesn't mean it was particularly tasty -- my own family wouldn't eat it. The frosting was made from egg whites, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, and decorations include M&Ms, an ice cream cone, licorice, pirouette creme-filled tube cookies, licorice, colored decorator sugars, and melted jolly rancher stained-glass windows.
